Vice Dean search

The Wayne State University School of Medicine seeks an eminent and strategic academic leader to serve as its next Vice Dean of Finance and Administration. The Vice Dean of Finance and Administration will report to the Dean of the School of Medicine and the Vice President of Health Affairs. They will work closely with the Dean and senior leadership in planning, fiscal management, and policy development. 

This person will serve as the Associate Vice President for Finance and Administration for Health Affairs managing financial relationships with the College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. They will be responsbile for managing relationships with Wayne Health, Wayne Pediatrics, and Emergency Medicine groups.

A champion in clinical training, the School of Medicine is also an established research center, with $155 million in external funding from all sources. Wayne State University hosts the Perinatology Research Branch of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, which provides joint sponsorship (along with the DMC) of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship, a fellowship devoted to exceptional clinical training.
